Kids Learning Company is an independent publisher of educational workbooks and children’s story books for kindergarten through grade 12. We started for a simple reason. Most practice books are either so easy that a child races through learning nothing, or so dense that they give up on page three.
What we publish
Our catalogue is built around five series, each with a clear job to do.
- Bright Scholars covers grade level practice from kindergarten through high school, including maths, reading, writing, science, algebra, geometry, biology and chemistry.
- Word Power builds academic vocabulary for grades 4 to 8 using a four step method of Discover, Practice, Apply and Master.
- KLC Core Workbooks give focused practice in grade 3 to 5 maths, fractions and science.
- The Reading Treehouse Mysteries are illustrated chapter book mysteries for ages 8 to 10, written to build reading confidence.
- The Mythbreakers is a middle grade fantasy series for ages 9 to 12 by Sanya Vale.
How we think about learning
Two things guide every book. First, practice should match what a child is genuinely expected to know at that stage, which is why we map each title to grade level expectations before writing a single page. Second, a book only works if the child opens it, which is why we spend as long on layout and artwork as we do on content.

Parents wanting extra practice without a nightly argument. Homeschoolers who need structure they can follow without a teaching degree. Teachers looking for classroom ready practice. And children who have decided, usually with good reason, that they do not like workbooks.
